Area Field Change in Alameda/Contra Costa County AORs

November 6, 2023, new listings created in BayEast Association of REALTORS, bridgeMLS and Contra Costa Association of REALTORS will no longer contain “AREA” information. Previously created listings will still display “AREA” information. For details, read this BayEast article.

To minimize impact to our subscribers, MLSListings will automatically enter the correct area number for listings in our 5 counties (Monterey, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito, San Mateo).  Outside of our 5 counties, MLSListings won’t enter the correct area, so new listings coming from BayEast AOR, bridgeMLS or CCAOR won’t have the area information.

Action Required –  For Auto Emails

If you have any auto emails with -area- as a criteria in Alameda County or Contra Costa County, you will need to remove the area as a criteria and use something else such as using map search, city or zip code instead.  If you don’t update the auto email criteria, the system won’t pick up new listings based on area number search.
