Matrix: How To Run A Map Search On Matrix (video)

Matrix has an integrated Map Search program that will allow you to draw out your own Search Area on a Map. This can be useful if you do not want to specify a City, Area or Zip Code. It also helps you to fine-tune your Area so that you do not get results in a neighborhood/Area that you don't want.

1. On your Search Page, click on the 'Map Search' link. On most search pages, this link appears on the left side of your page, near the 'Location' section.

2. On the Map Search Page, your tools and options will be on the upper right-side of the map. If you have a property that you would like to use as the center-point of your Map, enter in the properties address under the 'Jump to Address" window located in the far upper right corner. Type in the address and hit enter on your keyboard.. You can also manually change the map by dragging it around with your mouse, and using the + and - signs on the map to zoom in and out.

3. When you are ready to draw our your Search Area, choose one of the shapes that you want to use. You can 'Draw Rectangle', 'Draw Radius', or 'Draw Polygon'. 4. Once you have drawn out the Search Area on your Map, you can click on the Criteria Tab in the upper right to go back to the Criteria page to enter in any other criteria you wish, or you can click on Results to run that map search.
